In 2010, my dad left his corporate job of over a decade to join a new role.

As a farewell gift, his team gifted him the newly launched Samsung Galaxy S phone. In India, those were still the days of Nokia and Motorola phones. The shiny touchscreen phone was a delight to use. Gadget geek as a kid, I walked up to my dad with puppy eyes to get him to pass on the gift to me. My air castles were crushed in no time.

Fast forward 7 years…

I received a job offer at Samsung that instantly took me down the memory lane. At the forefront of technical innovation, I couldn’t have been more excited to join the company. I owed it to the geeky kid.

Earlier this week, I bid farewell to the Samsung family to work full time on my startup - Loopin HQ. The last 4 years at Samsung have been phenomenal. I’m glad I got a chance to craft experiences that impact several millions of customers of the world-class brand. In addition to the tremendous learnings, I’m grateful for the people I met and the relationships I built in the journey.
